I agree that this is worth doing.

Also, I'd like to see AutoEditor nominations voting being treated in
much the same way as edit votes are. I understand the desire not to
ruffle feathers, but this is more on the score of a legislative body's
advise and consent role. Yes, we do run the risk of demotivating
nominees if they are turned down, but if they leave because of
this ... well, isn't that a bit petty?

Please remember that the archives of this list are public. I read
the discussion surrounding my own nomination, and the negatives
discussed about me [lack of time involved, lack of a solid voting
record] were wholly legitimate concerns. It helped me to understand
my responsibilities.

Lastly, I'd like to entertain this question: should we seek to keep
the number of AutoEditors relative to the amount of overall edits?
That seems to be a reasonable way to make sure that the editor
workforce scales along with the service. To that end, if this a
favorable result, I think we need to consider processes that generate
new AEs and work to keep existing AEs active. I know that I,
personally, haven't been terribly active in the last three months for
a variety of personal reasons. If this continues for another six
months, do I still deserve AE status? I'd think so, but it's a
reasonable question.

	Thanks for your time.

	Geof
