 Occasionally it attempts to appear off the top-left of my (double)
 screens, selecting it on the taskbar the "alt+space, move, arrow key,
 waggling the mouse" sequence tends to get it visible, at which point you
 can resize it.

 Wow, what a useless piece of information. :)
