 I think you misunderstood what I meant; I was referring to the Xapian list
 of their features and the technical requirements and effect of that
 feature they note; not talking about the purpose/goal of MB's Xapian
 "upgrade" at all.

 I was making no comment on that feature's inclusion or not in the upgrade,
 just wondering what the requirements are to get it working. Your reply
 when I mentioned the feature discussed batch index updating which seemed
 unrelated to how a feature like that could actually work; was trying to
 understand what you actually meant.
