Hi!
The first beta release of the next generation tagger is now available:
Windows:
https://helixcommunity.org/download.php/653/picard-setup-0.4.0.exe
Linux:
https://helixcommunity.org/download.php/654/picard-0.4.0.tar.gz
Here is a screenshot of the new tagger (running in Linux via my Mac):

While this is not a polished release, its been tested extensively for
the past two weeks as I've been developing. Much thanks and praise goes
out to somniloquy and cikkolata for putting up with me pestering them
to download new releases and updating from CVS every 20 minutes.
Lots of bugs remain, but I have been doing quite a bit of tagging with
this application. If you've been wondering about this tagger, but are
waiting for it to stabilize a bit, now is the time to act and download
the new release! For all of you who have been bugging me to make
improvements to the tagger and make it album oriented, you owe it to me
to download this release and try it out! :-)
The documentation for the tagger has been moved to the wiki, to
encourage others to help write more documentation for Picard -- once
the docs stabilize we'll move them to the main web pages. The key
places for exploring the tagger are here:

Come on and let's set those Helix Community servers ablaze with
downloads!
