The install docs are a bit outdated, to get the mb_server code you need to use
svn, not cvs:

 yum install subversion
 svn co http://svn.musicbrainz.org/mb_server/branches/RELEASE_20060712-BRANCH
mb_server

or

 svn co http://svn.musicbrainz.org/mb_server/trunk mb_server

to get the latest development version.
