Well, if we turn it off then automods no longer get automatically  
subscribed, and as you can tell from mb-users that this is a problem.  
I see two ways of fixing this:

1. Send us a patch that makes the script smarter
2. Filter the emails coming from MB on your side (i.e. procmail)

Simply reverting this change is not the right solution.
