Now you know why I'm lobbying so much on that.

But sure, in jazz the recording date and location is just the hype,
the metadata cream.
Serious discographers don't list things "release-oriented", but
"session-oriented" (eg: Charlie Parker at
http://www.kyushu-ns.ac.jp/~allan/Documents/CP_S_1944.html)


Anyhow, the whole idea is interesting. I'll try to provide
(constructive) input on the wiki page you created.
