The prospect of not having to enter label and catalogue info as
annotations any more...am I dreaming?! This is grrreat! Thanks for
picking this up!

I might become too technical already but what did you have in mind for
the format? Are you planning on limiting this input field in anyway?
I've encountered various different formats including alphabetical
characters, numbers, spaces and hyphens. Some range up to 14 characters
in total. I think it's important to be able to enter the catalogue #
exactly as how it's printed on the cover, including preserving spaces,
hyphens and leading and trailing zero's. I've e.g. encountered one
release which specifically added a leading zero before the barcode to
use it as a catalogue #. It was important enough for them to print this
catalogue # multiple times on the cover.
I've also found different releases with multiple trailing zero's in the
catalogue #.

I think it's save to remove hyphens and spaces from the bar code, isn't it?

Don't forget the SPARS code [1]! I haven't seen it being used on
'normal' releases a lot but it's regularly being used on classical
releases. This can be realized with a dropdown which only has to contain
three items: AAD, ADD and DDD.
