In the database it's VARCHAR(255). I hope that's enough for every crazy catalog
number on this planet. :)

Barcodes usually don't have hyphens. And yes, I think they should be entered
without spaces. They should be simply a sequence of digits.

This is nothing that would be unique for a release event, so no this time. If I
understand if correctly, these code should be attached to recordings which is
completely different level.
