Thanks for bringing this back on track.

I readily admit that such searching possibilities is highly desirable. 
(After all, I came to MB because I need more naming consistency within 
my own music collection.)

My position is this: If someone were to come up and say that I will not 
in my lifetime get what I really want, which is more fields where I can 
enter work name, opus number, performer info etc....

If that happened, I'd try finding out more about "what is MB for?" and 
"who is MB for?". (Yes I've read the about-pages. More precise use cases 
would be nice.)

If then MB turns out to be primarily for people like you and me, Andrew, 
I won't mind doing it your way, although every time I enter a new 
release, I will probably cry a tear for not getting what I really want.

One final note: Classical buffs are relatively well off, since classical 
labels usually provide release titles with the contents in it. (That 
makes us doubly well off, since we have most of the best music :)
