I'm sorry you feel that I'm at fault. Anyone who talks down to me and
is that quick to call names and try and play the "holier than thou" game
is not my ally, whether we have the same cause or not.
I find it rather interesting to see the reaction being overly against my
comments. Here's the way I see it.
- new contributor makes first post
- someone responds the way they would to a 6-year-old.
- new contributor is on the defensive
- same person starts name calling and starts with "I'm better than you"
comments.
- new contributor gets scolded.
I've had the privilege of working with others who use MusicBrainz for
several years now, as I work for a software vendor who distributes
software using this database. The overwhelming sentiment toward the
MusicBrainz community is not good. It's becoming evident as to why that
opinion has been formed.
Cheers,
P.S. My remarks were well worth seeing someone claim I'm stupid, touting
their credentials, and then sending a post to the wrong list. I got
enough enjoyment out of that to make this entire thread worthwhile, even
if the overwhelming response is that my opinion is not worth a penny's
thought.
