Yeah, linking to the earliest would make sense. Of course, there's the
magic "earliest release" again, it's sometimes hard to find. And lots of
work for a random user.
And of course, there are different versions. For example, I added The
Beatles' Get Back into the database (the single, which preceded Let It
Be by about a year). Now there are AR's for both the single and the
album version. The album version has a cover AR (actually redundant, it
points to a track that's part of a cover album).
The more interesting is the "mashup" AR. Since the single and the album
version of Get Back differ a bit, it's feasible that that difference can
be heard in the mashup as well. So, which version has been used, and to
should we point to that or the earliest release?-)

I agree, I just noted that we're talking mostly about compositions in
the new model.

Exactly. In combination with other information or as a separate object.
