I very much agree that this needs to be done. Classical, Opera, and
Musicals is about 80% of what I'm doing in MB. And I'm one of the
newly-arrived and active Classical Music editors who is oblivious to the
oral tradition of past IRC chats and edit notes, so I merrily edit away,
taking the CSG at face value, or rather getting lost in its back corners.
To the extent that what the CSG says isn't what we want to be done, editors
like me head off on all kind of tangents. Us novice keeners will be more
effective with the CSG revised.
I'm willing to actively help with writing drafts, participating in
discussion, and running process if that's desired. I'm good at that stuff.
