Agreed - and what about the mega-box sets in classical?  I did the math in
one recent classical edit - if I recall, just taking the largest 15 box
sets, which also were released as volume sets, individual discs, etc, you
end up with something close to 6000 releases, instead of 1200...

The same would be true when you have the 26 CD Oasis box, or the 25 CD Led
Zep box, etc...  (counts may be off, pulling them from memory...)
