Philips Mozart Complete set, as one example:
Full set, 180 CDs.
Almost all CDs released individually prior to 2001.
Released in 2001 by Philips in 45 volumes.
Rereleased at some point around 2002-2003 by DG (distributing for Philips)
as 13 different volume box sets.
Rereleased at some point around 2003-2004 after the DG release, by Philips
(directly this time) as 13 volumes again.
Released at some point around 2003-2004 after the DG release, also by
Philips as 2 box sets of ~90 and ~90 CDs.
Almost all CDs rereleased individually after 2001.
Rereleased by Philips in 2006 as 13 volumes again.
Rereleased by Philips in 2006 as the "Complete Mozart Edition Cap-Box" of
180 CDs.
Each CD, volume, half-box, and box also now rerereleased digitally on
iClassics.
and that's just one box...
