I've tried to import the current wiki to MediaWiki using a little bit
modified version of http://git.catalyst.net.nz/gw/moin2media.git and the
result doesn't look that bad. It can translate MoinMoin syntax to
MediaWiki (well, it's not always 100% but I think it can be tweaked for
the special cases in your wiki), import full history, attachments, split
CamelCaseWikiNames, convert FooDiscussion pages to Foo talk pages. What
doesn't work are cards, and it's confused by using non-category pages at
the bottom section of a page. And pages from CategoryUser would probably
need to be converted to User:PageName.

So, if we really want to migrate to MediaWiki, I'd sugges to not upgrade
to MoinMoin 1.6, but go straight to MediaWiki.
