[mb-users] Is it time to stop auto importing from FreeDB?

Dave Evans is currently pondering some changes to the FreeDB stuff
while trying to improve our FreeDB compatibility so that we could
create a FreeDB compatible front end to MusicBrainz as was discussed
last week.
In preparing for this change, we're looking at the usefulness of the
automatic FreeDB imports (manifested via add album insertions from the
freedb moderator). Do you think that these are still useful for us?
I've heard a number of people complaining about the duplicate albums
being added and people having to vote down the additions. Dave and I
are leaning towards turning this feature off -- we think this feature
served us well when we has a small database that we're trying to bring
up to speed fast. We think that times are changing and that we should
probably turn this off. (You will still be able to import albums from
freedb manually)
What do you think?
And on a side-note, I just received the draft of our articles of
incorporation -- looks like the lawyers are finally making some
progress on the non-profit incorporation!
