No. When subscribed artists was invented, sending e-mails was all it
did. Therefore, to unsubscribe from the e-mails, you unsubscribe from
the artists. Of course, you can now use subscribed artists to as a
shortcut to search for things to vote on, and they are on display to
others, so they are a show of support for that artist.

There is possibly a case to perhaps have a separate category of favorite
artists that you can search for, but don't get e-mails about.
