What? Why do you say that.
The artists pages already query the AR tables as much as they would need
to in any redesign. They already display a summary of AR information.
The pages would only get slower if they have to display more information
in general (e.g. having to query every track of every album), but that
can be helped by splitting the page up by contribution type.
One thing to remember about databases is that when a field is indexed,
it only takes twice as long to find one record in a million than it
takes to find one record in a thousand.
