Hi Todd, and welcome to MB. Always good to see more classical buffs around.

The first thing to do is to check out
http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/ClassicalStyleGuide. This gives a lot (but
not all, of course) of information on how stuff should be formatted in
MB. You'll have questions because that's the way the CSG goes; you can
ask here. :)

Next, I'd say you should go through your CD/file collection and make
sure all possible information is in MB. For example, I reripped a lot
of my CDs and made sure to submit the CD ID to the appropriate
release. Picard is the program to use for this; see
http://musicbrainz.org/doc/PicardTagger.

Also, subscribe to a bunch of your favorite artists. For example, see
mine: http://musicbrainz.org/user/subscriptions.html?user=259764.
Clutcher2's list is huge; I went through it once and added a bunch of
artists I wanted to subscribe to also:
http://musicbrainz.org/user/subscriptions.html?user=20494.

Hope this helps! See you around MB! Feel free to ask here if you have
any questions.

Cheers,
Andrew
