[mb-users] A ML... and a forum!?

I actully brought up this question in the forum 2 days after it came into
existance because I knew people would get confused with duplicate places to
discuss.
Just recently in the RFC/RFV discussion I hit on it again; we need to
define, in writing, where exactly all discussion takes place then enforce it
if people are asking the wrong questions in the wrong place.

(If you have ideas to fix the RFC process while you're there feel free to
comment ;) )
I'm along the same lines as Rob (forum=easy stuff, ML=complex stuff) but I
lean towards the forum rather than than the Mailing List:
MB-Users should move to the Forum 100% and the Mailing List closed.
MB-Style general discussion should be moved to the Forum and the ML closed.
MB-Style guideline changes should be moved to it's own special section of
the forum dedicated to the guideline process too keep all that in one easy
to find place.
All other mailing lists would stay exactly as they are.

Musicbrainz - Devel
MusicBrainz - Automods
MusicBrainz - Experts
MusicBrainz - i18n
Musicbrainz - Announce

That's just my opinion, I think users and style are both discussions that
should be easy access to new users who have lots of questions and shouldn't
require subscribing to tons of email. Everything else I'd keep as mailing
lists if not just to keep new users out untill they have more experience
here.
BTW: I'm really glad this was brought up here, most everybody in the forum
seems to like the idea of moving to the fourms. I get the feeling people in
the mailing list would be very friendly to keeping things here as they are
now. All we need to do is get opinions from both sides and make a decision.
