I'm not sure I understood your meaning, but the "add note" links works
for me with just a middle click, I don't need to use the menu to open
them. I'm not sure if this is related to any extension though.
I have an extension that is supposed to load "new window" links in
tabs instead, and it has an interesting effect: if I left-click on
"add note" the pop-up loads in a new tab, and once I click the "apply"
button (or whatever it's called) the tab closes automatically. If I
midle-click the "add note", it loads in a new tab just the same, but
"applying" the note doesn't close the tab.
This is different from the old behaviour of the rules link I put up
the bug reports for. IIRC those used to overwrite the current tab
(though I'm sure that's an effect of some browser setting), and
couldn't be middle-clicked, I think.
