Actually, this is why I think a free-standing classical pieces table
hooked to discography is desirable. My little at-home experiment will
actually handle many of the dimensions you've cited - genres, keys, year
of composition (since I personally would love to take little historical
tours of all pieces composed in a certain year.)
But there is *no way* MB will ever implement all these fields
across-the-board.
I'm sure I will run into maddening problems that I do not forsee. I
expect difficulty with Early Music, for example.
