First off I think we should have a field for recording dates, but that is
indeed another issue.
Your Wyton Kelly example is not valid for this circumstance as his
performance is for one track ONLY, and not the entire release
To go back to the original edits in question, do we know for sure that Joey
DeFrancesco didn't perform his Hammond Organ on the 4th only, and the rest
of the recording was layed down by the other two on the 5th?  or the other
way around?  These are stated as facts yet are very sketchy in nature and
could easly and will often be incorrect if we start allowing dates like this
in for instrument performances without detailed recording schedules (and
where are those available beyond the odd Davis and Coltrane?)... so to put
another spin on this, I don't like the data as it is not verifyable.
