That assumes that the MP3 I'm tagging is part of a known album.

If I have a random MP3 on my hard drive -- eg.
The_Prodigy-Voodoo_People.mp3 -- I don't know or *care* which album it
came from, or which "track" it relates too.  I just care what *song*
it is.

I've just downloaded a torrent of 700-odd songs from 700-odd artists
performing at SxSW
(http://2007.sxsw.com/blogs/plat.php/2007/02/19/don_t_miss_the_sxsw_toolbox
if you're interested).  I would be nice to chuck them into the tagger
and have it clean up the metadata without having to match to *albums*.
