Or you can do as I did, and create a junk artist with the same name, so 
that you can add a resolution comment to the original (real) artist, 
then delete the junk artist.  You don't (I think) even have to be an 
autoeditor to do this, since Add Artist will take effect immediately 
pending approval, and Remove Artist is actually an autoedit for everyone 
(assuming no linked releases or ARs, in which case it isn't possible for 
anyone, autoeditor or no).
