It turns out that happened in August 2005 already,
which is a year before the book was released and presented in that 
Google video, so it's a mystery why he would still call for that
"IMDb of music",

I haven't read the book.  Does it mention this?  Ironically, this 
book has Amazon sales rank 484, so it's not in that long tail.
