Hi musicbrainz-users
I have run into a question I could not find the answer to on the web page.
I have a CD with the Danish group Shu-bi-dua called "Shu-bi-dua 1".
This is already in the musicbrainz database with the same name and the correct
tracks but the track times are wrong!
At least they are wrong compared to the CD I have, and I looked it up in freedb
and found several instances, all with times matching mine.
The times are very wrong, not just a few seconds. The track which is 10:05 in
the db is 4:39 on my cd, to take an example.
I looked at the bands's web page, there is no indication of two different
versions of the album.
So, can I change the track times? I doesn't look like I am allowed to,
seemingly because the disc has a disc id.
Does the disc ID provide track times? If not, why does it prevent me from
changing the track lengths? Or have I just not figured out how to do it? If
yes, would it help if I add my own CD's disc ID? I don't want to add an extra
disc ID to an entry with wrong data.
Or should I add a new release with my track lengths and merge them?
Thanks in advance if anyone can enlighten me on this one.
