This is one of my many betes noires. I'm not sure if many ARs were set up
before the additional type (e.g. vocal/instrument) were available, or if it
is just laziness on the part of editors, but I often make bulk edits to add
the specifics, usually with "Performed guest vocal" being used, as leaving
things as "was performed by..." often looks wrong for tracks that merely
feature a rapper or backing vocalist.
I hope your post serves as a reminder to editors to tick the relevant boxes
when adding such edits. :)
