I know there's no hard numbers, but would you be able to give your gut guess
on this - Given any random 2 tracks, one clean, one explicit, what are the
chances that the puid will therefore be identical?  Are we talking more 9 in
10, or 1 in 100?

Also, just so we don't get too bogged down in PUIDs, even if the
fingerprinter cannot detect the difference, our ears can.  Even if it is 9
in 10, and even if the clean and explicit versions have the same puid, if
there was no difference, then one couldn't be " more family-friendly than
the other".  To my mind, this would still require that we therefore
separately list the two releases.
