I suppose it depends on how you interpret the name, and whether you see
it as,
"The {{Miles Davis} Quintet}", which would sort as, "{{Davis, Miles}
Quintet}, The"
or
"The {Miles David Quintet}", which would sort as, "{Miles Davis
Quintet}, The"
Where the individual is well known, and has released solo material e.g.
Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix etc, I'd say that the former interpretation is
the most logical, leading to "{Bob Marley} & {The {Wailers}}", sorting
as "{Marley, Bob} & {{Wailers}, The}" and "The {{Jimi Hendrix}
Experience}", sorting as "{{Hendrix, Jimi} Experience}, The".
