[mb-users] Linking Disc IDs to Release events

Hello there,

after some recent confusion with the 40th anniversary release of Pink
Floyd's Piper at the Gates of Dawn, I was wondering why it isn't possible
to link Disc IDs to specific release events?

Take for example http://musicbrainz.org/show/release/?releaseid=643044
We have now confirmed that
http://musicbrainz.org/show/cdtoc/?cdtocid=206244 belongs to the 2007
release and http://musicbrainz.org/show/cdtoc/?cdtocid=24927 belongs to
the 1997 release, but there is no way to capture this information.

Wouldn't this make sense? I know that the DiscIDs of different releases
often might be identical, but in the case that they are not, I think it
might be helpful to identify a release.
