No, it doesn't.  If you enter such an edit now, and it gets through
voting before the original add has been passed (or if you're an
autoeditor doing it, so it's approved immediately), then when looking
at the original edit, the corrected data shows immediately.

The add edit shows the state of the release as it is, not just what
was entered.  You should try it out, with autoeditor privileges on, on
the test server, you'll see what I mean.  Add a fake album (with
privileges off), and then go change some track titles (with them
turned back on).  Then look at your original add album edit.
