In terms of the concrete rule I believe it should be possible to formulate
one, though it might have a lot of paragraphs. Otherwise it'd be difficult
to have a common goal. At least it's a good thing that a more fitting
release event to label relationship is planned for the future.
The matching cat# rule does make sense, since cat#'s are usually unique for
a release (to my knowing), and when there's no cat# there's probably just
one label involved anyway (or none).
I think I know what to do in most cases now, except when a cat# doesn't
match the imprint and it's not a cat# of their parent label/company. That
might not happen very often though.
