[mb-users] using folksonomy tags for personal collections/wishlists

I've had this idea and bought it up a few times, but I think you're
over complicating it. Why do we need special tags per user? Then you
won't be able to easily make a page listing everyone who owns/wants
this, without creating some code first.

If the search system was enhanced slightly to support showing all tags
by certain users (may well already be possible with lucene queries)
then we've effectivly got a large part of the task already
accomplished.

My thoughts against it? Well, it's not exactly how I feel tags should
be used. While I think tags should very much be a personal thing and
not only made with the intention of social benefits, I'm not sure this
is a perfect application of tags. I plan to use tags to fill out the
genre field in iTunes for one - and I don't want every single item to
have "I own this" – that's obvious!

MusicBrainz definitly needs some type of own/want feature though!
