chopinhauer has been adding most of the cantata discs lately, so perhaps
you should ask him. If you agree on something, then so probably will the
voters :)

Chopinhauers edit notes on
http://musicbrainz.org/show/edit/?editid=8499645 and
http://musicbrainz.org/show/edit/?editid=8402331
indicate that different editions of the huge set is put together
differently, so you need to take some care with the numbering.

Perhaps it is not so bad, because from what I see of the product listings on

http://www.musicweb-international.com/classrev/2001/Dec01/BrilliantBach.htm
http://www.bach-complete-works.com/

the volumes look pretty much the same. Hopefully it is acceptable to
have one entry only for most of the discs with multiple release events.

Now, in addition the cantatas have been released separately in multiple
volumes, but they are named in a fashion that doesn't clash with the box
set name - at least that is my impression after seeing
http://amazon.co.uk/dp/B00004R8XE.

A final off-topic note: http://musicbrainz.org/doc/ASIN says "there's
[probably] a 1:1 correspondence between releases and ASINs"

hm.... does that make sense for a case like this? Is it not acceptable
to add multiple ASINs to e.g.
http://musicbrainz.org/release/3954d3db-dfcd-4f31-9773-438b2bf3ed78.html?
