In that example it is not used at all in sort names. It isn't even last order.

So, then if you are only complaining about the way it is displayed, and not
sorting, then the subject of this thread is totally off. And you should be
advocating the creation of a Nobiliary Particle field that can be used to
display the name in lists as you request.

The above is used to ensure the right sorting order and has nothing to do
with how it should be displayed. This is percisely why it is a separate
