[mb-users] "The need for free and open music metadata", but MB not good enough

Well he asks one good question "Why didn’t Music Brainz make it as the 
default service?", its surely the most accurate system, with best 
developer interfaces, but it is a pain to manually enter in new info. 
Does Musicbrainz actuallly want to be No1 or is the general view just to 
keep the db accurate and see what happens ?

What I dont understand is can this guy just merge wikipedia and 
musicbrainz data, I thought wikipedia used a different license which 
prevented Musicbrainz from just automatically sucking in useful info it 
did have.
