Heh.  I got so flummoxed by the misunderstanding that a 'more fun' Pink
Floyd band history is actually metadata, I couldn't take the rest
seriously anyway.
Does he intend adding that into the comment field of every file tagged with
his proposed database?

Wikipedia does what it does, and it does it just fine.  MB does what
it does, and
if you really need a structured mashup of both, well, metabase sure has a head
start on that.
