it's not experienced moderators/voters who need incentive, but the other
way around.
Honestly I don't see a problem with the way things are now. I don't trust
myself with automod, I routinely make mistakes because I'm unfamiliar with
some parts of the style guidelines (in part due to hard-to-find
documentation). You should also keep in mind that it's a major deterrent
for vandalism. On wikipedia it's not such a big problem since you can
immediately revert, but not so on MB, either you wait for an automod to
come by or you risk having your albums tagged with "THIS ALBUM SUCKS!!11"
as title until the vote is inevitably voted down a week later.
As you say, reponsetime is low on MB, and for that exact reason the two
week voting period is a good thing since it means we're reasonably sure
someone has taken a look at it first.
