This somewhat over-simplifies the current situation. The only reason you 
are waiting two weeks, is because there aren't enough voters in your 
area of the DB relative to the number of edits to eyeball your edit and 
vote on it. If there were, you'd get your 3 yes votes and the edit would 
be applied earlier.

In some sense, this is /exactly/ the situation where edits need to be 
open longer - where there isn't enough eyeballing and voting.

Perhaps you're being tarred with the same brush as inexperienced 
editors, and I agree that's a problem but the only real solution to that 
appears to be an incredibly contentious, difficult-to-get-right points 
system. Or perhaps some sort of privilege level in between AutoEditor 
and regular Editor.

Note that many DB edits are applied immediately and reverted upon NO 
vote; additions of information, new ARs, enhancements to a release 
event. It's only track and release title edits we are really talking 
about, I guess.
