I think you've done a great job researching this!  Nice set of links. 

I agree, it's likely that "Preven" is correct, "Previn" is a spelling error,
and that a merge is in order.

BTW there's a well-known conductor and composer, André Previn
<http://musicbrainz.org/artist/06538137-47eb-4dd6-bb78-5c8afa1a1885.html>,
and I wonder if perhaps that similarity lures people in to spelling Anne
Preven's name with an "i".
