I have many old vinyl, 78s and cassettes that have a label and cat#
but no verifiable release year. Currently, you can't enter a release
event without a date. How feasible would it be to allow [unknown date]
to be an option? The only way to include this information now is via
release annotations. While that's fine, the information does not show
up in any of the label release lists because it's not in the database.
Suppose you could look over a list of releases by a label and you
could easily see the ones that were missing dates. Then, if this
information were later to be found it would be easy to add.

Does anyone else see the merit in having this as an option?
