The solution needn't be complex.  Add a string field to the table where 
you free-form that 5%.  And a boolean field if want to clearly mark the 
corner cases.

Let's do.  I honestly didn't mean to spark a style debate on mb-users, 
I was just (for the moment) asking your intentions.
