[mb-users] Release info persistent?

As I rip my CDs, I'm making sure the release information is correct in
picard, and I'm editing it on musicbrainz.org as necessary.  I plan on
having picard periodically re-scan my collection and save any changes.
 Can I count on my release information remaining correct, or would a
blind "scan and save" process for an entire collection likely cause
some releases to become erroneous?
