[mb-users] Question about Release Type

I recently came across a bootleg for Mike Doughty in Musicbrainz that
was listed as a compilation of tracks that Mike Doughty recorded for a
Various Artist spoken word release. The style guideline for
ReleaseType indicates the following:

"Note that there is a certain amount of crossover within the
definition of compilation and the other types of release, for example
a various artists soundtrack could also be considered a compilation.
In general, compilation should be superceded by other release
attributes when required."

I interpreted that to mean that more specific release types like Live
or Spokenword would take precedent over Compilation. The edit,
http://musicbrainz.org/show/edit/?editid=8472809 8472809 , only got one
negative vote citing the exact opposite: that
compilation takes precedent.

I tried a couple of times to get follow up on the vote, but to no
avail. If I am reading this wrong, can someone help me with what I am
missing?

Thanks for the clarification,
Jeff (jdc0730)
