I can't think of any way that this would get used,

Remember: MB is much more than a tagger database. If the DVD has music on
it, then it seems relevant to MB IMO. Going to Danú's page in MB and finding
this DVD listed seems very useful to me.

Why not? I searched for a piece documentation forbidding it, but I couldn't
find it. But I think that DVDs were indeed not welcome at some point. Where
is it written?
