[Playlist] portability, application page, schema files

hello!

a few things about XSPF i have on my mind:

* i noticed that i am not fully clear
about how xspf is cross-platform or where
   it could be not cross-platform.
absolute filenames from unix will still
not work on a windows machine or am
   i missing something?

* i just found out Magnatune are using XSPF!
you can see it "live" here:
   http://magnatune.com/genres/rock/hifi_play

* i think we should talk about the "application"
section on the website again. the current state
is okay but does not really satisfy me.
is chronological order really better than
alphabetal? also maybe all that groups have
different interesting attributes. a lib maybe
license, language and platform. also does xiph
give you mysql access? we could allow the user to
sort for a custom column then. i think it
needs improvement, i want to to help and we should
   define how it should be.

* i stumbled upon a foobar2000 plugin some time
ago that says to integrate XSPF reading and
writing. it's not listed on the apps page yet.
its homepage is a blog located here:
   http://maadman.ma.funpic.de/?page_id=4

* the english wikipedia page on XSPF lists
two applications not listed at the xspf-org
   app page: "Amarok" and "XSPF4PHP".
does amarok really have XSPF support?
if the latter really is different to the
PEAR File_XSPF class then we should add it too.
the other link is not working right now
   but this site is online:
   https://developer.berlios.de/projects/php4xspf/

* were the offline schema files run through
the test suite? i noticed that the RNG schema
uses "\d+" as pattern for the version so
maybe we need aditional quality assurance
at that place. (no offense - i try to improve
   everywhere.)
