It definitely is a bug in Webjay.  This reminds me of a old problem with 
cached Atom feeds.

How can you tell the actual charset, Dan?

Very happy to hear about Slim support.  Does this mean that a Slim user 
could invoke an XSPF document containing URLs and it would work?  Could 
the XSPF document itself be known only by URL and not be a local file?
