I did read the comment like that, but regardless that's what I think. M3U is usually plain and lacking a lot of content, thus converting to XSPF would lead to stripped playlists.

I reckon a proper XSPF generator within the software that is starting to show support for the specs is far more important. However, if you believe your conversion tool is ready for the public, why not release it and see what happens?

Oops.  It strikes me that my comment could be read to be saying that the 
idea is silly.  what I mean to say is that the lack of such a utility is 
silly, since it's such a good idea.
